CRA CDCP Eligibility 2025
To get the Dental Care Services under this plan, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Canadians must not have access to private dental plans. It means if applicants have private insurance via their employment benefits, professional or student organisation, pension benefits then they may not qualify.
- Canadians must file their tax returns. If the applicant is married then both partners must file their return. This is essential because the CRA would access the family income based on the return. If the applicant is married but his/her spouse is not living in Canada and does not file taxes in Canada then that person might not be qualified.
- Canadians must have their family net income under $90,000. Those who have net income under $70,000 then 100% of their services would be covered.
- Applicants must hold Residency or citizenship of Canada for tax purposes.
Canadian Dental Care Plan Benefits 2025
This new program offers various benefits:
- Free / Reduced Cost Dental Care: Canadians with income below $70,000 per annum can get 100% coverage. Those who earn between $70,000 and $90,000 per annum can receive reduced coverage basically from 40% to 60%.
- Includes Basic & Major Services: This Dental care program not only includes basic services like endodontic services, restorative services but it also includes:
- Diagnostic & preventive services like cleaning, x-rays, sealants
- Major Services like oral surgery, removable prosthodontic services, restorative services.
- Anesthesia / Sedation Services such as deep, moderate, minimal sedation and general anaesthesia.
- Orthodontic Services
Canada Dental Benefit Coverage 2025
Various Major and minor services are being covered in this CDCP Dental Insurance Benefit 2025. This plan may only cover the portion of the oral treatment. Canadians need to offset additional charges based on net income of between $70,000 and $90,000.
Co-payments under CDCP:
- If Net family income is lower than $70,000 then CDCP would cover 100% of eligible services cost and the beneficiary would pay 0%.
- If the net family income is between $70,000 & $79,999 then CDCP would only cover 60% of the eligible services cost and beneficiaries would pay 40% of the established fees.
- If the net family income is between $80,000 & $89,999 then the CDCP would only cover 40% of the eligible services cost and beneficiaries would pay 60% of the established fees.
